Friday Evening XR650R Ride May 26, 2017

Quick ride to the San Pablo Reservoir on the XR650R. One of the radiator shrouds was cracked on the bike when I bought it and the side covers were not looking so good so I picked up some new ones. Still looking for some graphics for the shrouds to complete it. Only other thing I want for the bike is a small tail bag and a front fender tool bag. The bike needs nothing else to be perfect. Almost forgetting I have the GSA this thing is so fun to ride.

Still working on my kick start procedure. If I kick it over as I should it starts no problem, but if I forget the procedure I have problems. It all boils down to kicking the bike the way it likes to be kicked. If I do it correct it starts first or second kick every time, but if not no go. Much different than the XR400R.

Berryessa Knoxville Road May 18, 2017

I took a ride out to Lake Berryessa.

The route was Highway 80 for a few miles until I hit Suisun Valley Road.

From there it was California State Route 121 to the 128, past the lake and, out to Berryessa Knoxville Road.

Beautiful day out with hardly any traffic since a week day.

After passing the lake the road turns into a single wide road and I did not pass any other vehicles.

The last time I was on the road I was riding a Harley Ultra Glide. Much more fun for me on the GSA.

Last two pictures - I stopped to take a picture and noticed a pole in the background with a bird moving around - looks like it might be a baby bald eagle.

Ride to Oakland to Check Mail May 17, 2017

Just a ride to the office to check mail and stopped by Jack London Square for a few minutes since it was a nice sunny warm day.

Picked Up a 2002 Plated XR650R May 4, 2017

I have always wanted a plated XR650R and have been looking around. I found a very clean 2002 for sale at the right price in the bay area and now it is in my garage. I think it is now time to start thinking about selling my XR400R which I hate to do, but don't need two similar bikes.

Hollister Hills with the GSA May 2, 2017

I was going to take the week off and head to Death Valley for the week, but every day was going to be over 100 degrees so I decided to take a day ride and stay home.

I had never been to Hollister Hills so this is where I headed for the day.

I Stopped by the infamous Johnny's in Hollister on the way which is famous for the Hollister Rally and the movie the Wild One. Next I was next off to play in the dirt at Hollister Hills.
